What is a filmcell?
The film you watch at the cinema is made up of thousands of individual pictures or cells. These cells are shown rapidly, one after another, to give the illusion of movement. See the pictures on the left for examples of film cells.
Filmcells are approximately 35mm wide by 20mm high.
With the introduction of digital projection 35mm film may soon become obsolete, so this is a great opportunity to grab a bit of cinematic history while you still have the chance.
